Three members of Morpeth Harriers & AC represented the North East in the annual London Mini Marathon, held in the capital the day before the main event, on Saturday 25 April.
They all were taking part in the British Athletics Team Challenge.
Mason Gaylor was the best individual performer, finishing 32nd in a time of 7m52s, leading the region home in the Under 16 Boys event, where the team finished twelfth.
Under 16 Girl Heidi Wilkinson was the regions fourth finisher in her event, with a time of 9m10s, in a team that finished sixth equal.
The trio was completed by Under 18 Woman Molly Roche, who finished 55th as third from the region, in a team that also finished twelfth.
Molly’s time was 9m21s.
All three reported that they had enjoyed the occasion immensely and were proud of their individual efforts.
